14904. CORNING GLASS WORKS: THE ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS DIVISION (A) & (B) HARVARD CASE STUDIES 477024, 477073. This paper provides a case analysis of two related Harvard Business School case studies (477024 and 477073) by Michael Beer on organizational development at the Electronic Products Division (EPD) of Corning Glass Works. The new divisional head calls in assistance from the Organizational Development department to address problems of inter- and intragroup conflict in the functionally structured organization. The OD change program calls for a shift from a functional to a project team structure and makes controversial changes in management and authority lines.
