17407. FAMILY STRUCTURE AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY. This paper provides an overview and analysis of the role of family structure as a contributing factor in juvenile delinquency. The evidence on the general impact of disruption in family structure on delinquency is discussed and described. Possible theoretical explanations for why and how family structure impacts juvenile delinquency are presented and reviewed.
