Search by topic:   17353. WOMEN IN PUBLIC RELATIONS. This paper provides an overview and analysis of the important role played by women in the public relations industry. The review of literature demonstrates that women already dominate the public relations field in terms of numbers, but not yet in terms of leadership power. Pressure from women researchers in the field however, have resulted in a growing emphasis on issues of concern to women in public relations. These issues include the wage gap, gender discrimination, stereotypical viewpoints, sexual harassment, and the lack of programs and facilities to help women balance their careers with familial duties.
