| 18313. GROUP COUNSELING FOR SOCIAL PHOBIA USING COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY. This paper proposes a ten-session group counseling program, using a cognitive behavioral approach, for persons suffering with social phobia. The paper describes the group’s objectives, criteria for selecting group members, and methods for evaluating the group’s success. In addition, the proposed sessions are outlined, covering such activities as cognitive restructuring, exposure exercises, relaxation training, and social skills training.
